In a small town in Northern New Jersey lived a young man named Frank. As a child, Frank grew up hearing enchanting tales about his first-generation grandparents, Anne (Nanni) and Holly (Pop-Pop - Pictured Left), who were hardworking, passionate gardeners and farmers from their perspective countries of Italy and Germany. Frank was captivated by their stories and their connection with the land.

As Frank grew up, he learned all there was about gardening from his grandparents - everything from requiring a “5 Dollar hole for planting a 50 Cent Plant" to the importance of pruning and trimming down a plant to enhance the growth of life (something that seemed strange to him as a child) and finally enjoying the fruits of hard work and time gardening.

They would teach him about the soil, its texture, and how it varied from one part of the garden to another. They'd show him how to gently cradle the seeds in her hand and carefully plant them. "Patience, my dear," Nanni would say, "A garden cannot be rushed. It's like life; it takes time to flourish."

Frank listened attentively as her grandparents shared stories about their journey as farmers. They spoke of their joy in nurturing the earth, watching the seeds they sowed grow into sturdy plants bearing fruits and flowers. Yet, they also spoke of their challenges—the unpredictable weather, the insects that threatened their crops, and the hard work that went into cultivating the land.

As Frank grew older, his love for gardening deepened. He awaited the season's last frost each early spring to begin planting in the garden.

Years passed, and Frank carried his grandparents' fond memories and wisdom into adulthood. He moved to New York City to start a career in Pharmaceuticals, but the love for gardening never left him. On his small 4th-floor walkup, he created a mini garden on the fire escape, nurturing herbs, vegetables, and flowers.

As years passed, he moved to an apartment with outdoor space and transformed it into an urban “Garden of Eden” despite its lack of natural light. Word in the building spread and Frank began to design and develop gardens for neighbors, friends, and business owners in the city.

It took a pandemic for Frank and his family to buy in South Florida where, during the time the “world stood still” and isolated, he created an award-winning landscape design and garden at his home, learning about and cultivating many types of palms, fruit trees, vegetables, orchids, and flowers.  He befriended many farmers in the area and Head Gardeners of famous hotels/resorts in West Palm Beach, where he learned an incredible amount of practical landscaping design knowledge.

Frank recently retired after a 20-year Successful Executive Level Finance and Operations Career at the Pharmaceutical Company and turned his avocation into a successful vocation.

As the founder and President of Tailor-Made Garden, he has grown it (metaphorically and literally speaking) into a successful business where he is grateful for the opportunity to show his love and passion to his customers, which he learned from his Grandparents so many years ago.
